An Open Letter to 55.3% of You
Dear Internet Explorer users,
It’s not often that I will implore anyone to download a Microsoft product. But Internet Explorer 7 was released today. Please, please, please download and install it. Please tell your friends and family to do the same.
It’s not perfect. It’s not going to save the world. Hell, it still hasn’t caught up to Firefox or Safari. But it is a huge improvement over the version you are using now.
If you do this for me, perhaps we can never speak of those versions again. You have no idea of how happy that would make me.
Thanks,
zalm

Switched at work but Bill Gates won’t let me put version 7 on my Wk machine at home.
New Bravia commercial, btw: http://www.bravia-advert.com/paint/thead/
(No Mentos were harmed in the making of this film.)

Yeah, I forgot to mention that it’s XP only.
For what it’s worth, the browser share on this here site is as follows:
55.3% Internet Explorer
31.5% Firefox
10.5% Safari
02.6% Other
Make of that what you will…

Eh… Still hasn’t caught up to Firefox.
Now, Office 2007, that’s dandy. Not a lot of new features, but the navigation is stellar. And PowerPoint has some new graphics-creation tools that just rock.
Get the beta now. (Cost $2 to download.) Microsoft is closing it next week until the official product release. The beta is good through next February, I think.

Eh, some of those IE hits are completely my fault. I have IE to do some things I have to have it for to connect to school from home..and sometimes I forget..and I use it to come to your site. Then I spend 10 minutes cursing, trying to close IE and open up my much loved Firefox.
I’ve confessed. How many Hail Mary’s do I need to do?
