Bumper Stickers I Saw in Berkeley (Part Five)
We took care of our friends’ dog this weekend, which gave us a great excuse to head out to the dog park along the Bay.
The parking lot was filled with cars sporting the usual dog-owner bumper stickers: ASPCA stickers, “Dog is my Co-Pilot,” “I Love Pomeranians,” “Thank You for Not Breeding.” And so on....
One sticker in particular caught my attention:
I LOVE DOGS + I LOVE ART + I VOTE!
I know that politics is all about building coalitions, but this seems like a strange constituency to have to court. Yet here they are. And they’re organized enough to print up some stickers.
So let the word go out across the land to those of you who were thinking of running on an Anti-Dog/Anti-Art platform.
It might not be as popular as you think.
