I’d Be Like a Kid in a Candy Store, If Candy Was Made of Music Instead of Sugar
New albums today from Beck, The Decemberists and The Hold Steady. I’m not going to be able to hit a music store until tomorrow, but throw in the new Sparklehorse that I still need to grab from last week, and I’m a little giddy just thinking about it. Until then, I’ll have to pass the time playing with The Hold Steady Guide to the Twin Cities (via). If you visit, watch out for sad, sad Twins fans.

Oh, and the new Decemberists album is fabulous. No one spins a tale like Colin Meloy. Some suprisingly good guitar work and all the whimsy you would expect from them. Of course, there are some things you wouldn’t expect...like the two minute prog. rock intro to ‘The Island’. A lot of gems on the album overall. Enjoy!

...like mine.
Let’s just say ‘Frank’ wasn’t the only F-word I uttered yesterday during the clean-up hitter’s at bats.
Today is a new day. Beware the Boof.
