The Browser That Stole Christmas

It has been brought to my attention that since my last post, Internet Explorer for Windows has started rendering my site in unspeakable ways.

Perhaps this is part of the War on Christmas(©FOXnews) I’ve been hearing about.

I won’t tell you what I think of IE, because I don’t want to make the baby Jesus cry. Suffice it to say that I’ll fix this in due time.

Until then, make it a New Year’s resolution to use Firefox.

Please.

Update: Funny, all I had to do was drop the F-bomb and IE is now pretending that nothing ever happened. I’m not fooled. Internet Explorer, you’re on notice.

You’re too gracious by half… if there is such a thing as being too gracious. I don’t know how you put up with BillBrowser, especially on a Mac.

Oh, you didn’t hear?

Microsoft will end support for Internet Explorer for Mac on December 31st, 2005, and will provide no further security or performance updates.

Additionally, as of January 31st, 2006, Internet Explorer for the Mac will no longer be available for download from Mactopia. It is recommended that Macintosh users migrate to more recent web browsing technologies such as Apple’s Safari.

It’s kind of a shame that they abandoned it, because when it was released three years ago, it was actually the best browser out there.  Better than IE for Windows by far.

I had heard that. I was actually going to write a post about it but after “heh,” I couldn’t come up with anything else.

That one look that I had at my blog in IE 5.2 for Mac, at Thanksgiving, was more than enough scariness for me.
