Watch It Wiggle, See It Jiggle

Liz Hickok is a local artist who works in a rather unusual medium.

Jell-O.

That’s right, she constructs scale models of various San Francisco cityscapes and landmarks. Out of Jell-O.

The resulting photographs are just dazzling. And yet as someone who lives a mile or two from a pretty significant fault, I find these images to be fairly disconcerting.

No, wait. ‘Disconcerting’ isn’t exactly the word I’m looking for.

Oh, I know what it was…

Terrifying.

Estoy aqu. Soy muy ocupado esta semana con mi trabajo y mi iglesia.

Seriously though, if I tried more than that, my friend bestman’s cabeza would estalle.

I’m around. The next few months are going to be particularly busy for me, and frankly I just haven’t had it in me this week.

It has been a week or so, though, hasn’t it? Hmmm…

In other news, I’ve been enjoying the hell out of that Stars album. Thanks for the recommendation.

I agree with timmer, my slack time at work just isn’t the same anymore. But I understand that sometimes the rest of your life (or sleep) has a higher priority.
And I won’t try any spanish, even though I watch a lot of Dora.

Bueno...no te preocupes.

Si as has llegado t, querido lector, bienvenido. Hay aqu mucho que te podr interesar, por cierto, aunque todo en ingls.]

(btw, that first paragraph has nothing to do with anything “pagan”.)

Heh. Now you’re just showing off…

But I’m not sure I’m comprendoing this correctly: “Without boldly!”

Qu?

And yes, I had a feeling I’d chosen the wrong verb. Sadly enough, it feels more like ser than estar at the moment.

Hadn’t read that post about stepping back, Zalm. Good luck with the new things on your plate. I will, however, continue to check your blog like a heroin addict looking for a fix. How else would I find out about Jello art?

Yeah, there was a time not too long ago when I would’ve beaten everybody and their brother to the headline “Cheney’s Got a Gun.” But not this week. *sigh*
